The Wealth Mindset Shift That Transformed My Business (And Can Transform Yours)

Mindset

Let me tell you something I wish someone had told me years ago:

Making more money doesn’t require working more hours.

Read that again.

Maybe even say it out loud.

Because if you’re anything like I was, this belief might be quietly running your whole business. It was for me.

I was doing everything “right” and still hitting a wall.

Back when I owned my yoga and Pilates studio, I was waking up early, teaching classes, managing staff, marketing, cleaning, and doing payroll.

(Oh, and trying to scale a business while “staying in alignment.”)

I had vision boards. I did the affirmations. I journaled. I meditated. And still… my income plateaued.

Because while I said I believed in abundance, I was still energetically subscribed to struggle. I thought I had to earn every dollar with sweat, sacrifice, and a side of self-neglect.

And that belief? It became my reality.

The shift that transformed my business didn’t come from a spreadsheet. It came from embodiment.

Everything changed when I stopped asking, “What do I need to do?” and instead started asking, “Who do I need to become?”

I sold my business and made the decision to completely change my life. Not because I had a flawless plan, but because I got radically honest about the energy I was operating from.

It felt like clearing out an overstuffed closet. The kind where you keep things “just in case”, even if they no longer fit.

See, in 2021, I wasn’t working in my zone of genius.

I was micromanaging every single tiny bit of detail. I kept waiting for some mythical moment of “readiness” before taking the bold steps I knew were calling me. And I still clung to that deeply wired belief that I had to work harder than everyone else to deserve success.

So I did what most high-achieving women resist: I slowed the hell down.

I hired a coach. I started unpacking my money stories. I stopped performing worthiness through overworking. And most importantly, I started acting like the 7-figure CEO woman I knew I was meant to become before the money reflected that back to me.

Once I started releasing the beliefs that were weighing me down, it was like finally having room to breathe, move, and step into something new that actually aligned.

What actually changed (Hint: it wasn’t my strategy)

My offers didn’t change overnight. My content didn’t suddenly become revolutionary.

The difference was me.

I stopped discounting myself in every sense of the word. I started making decisions from self-trust, not scarcity. I raised my prices without apologizing. I stopped over-delivering to prove something and started standing in my values. I practiced receiving instead of always over-giving.

And almost instantly, my results caught up with my energy.

Because wealth consciousness isn’t just a mindset…it’s a frequency. When you operate from the version of you who knows she can hold more, you start to attract and keep more. It’s not magic. It’s energetics + embodiment.

Why effort alone wasn’t enough (and how it was keeping me broke)

I was raised by a man who came to this country with $200 in his pocket and built a multimillion-dollar business. He’s brilliant. He’s resilient. He’s still working harder than most people I know. And while I admire my dad deeply, I also absorbed a belief that nearly broke me: that money only comes to those who grind for it.

So I worked. I OVERworked. And then eventually, I burned out.

I did everything myself. I wore the word “busy” like a badge of honor. I thought exhaustion meant I was doing it right.

Until one day I realized that underneath the hustle was fear. Fear that I wasn’t enough unless I was busy, that rest was something I had to earn, that ease was lazy.

Like if I didn’t have a packed calendar and twenty tabs open, I must not be doing enough. Like I wasn’t allowed to relax until I’d proved myself with a color-coded to-do list.

I had to unlearn the hustle just to give myself permission to experience wealth in a new way.

This wasn’t about strategy. It was about MY stories.

It was about the little voice that said, “You have to work long and hard to be rich,” or “It takes years of hard work to be successful.”

The same voice that lives in the background of so many women’s businesses, quietly calling the shots while they keep telling themselves they’re just being realistic.

Until I confronted that inner voice, no action plan was going to save me.

Let’s talk about nervous system safety…

aka the part no one talks about on Instagram.

You can say you want 6-figures a month, but if your body doesn’t feel safe holding that kind of money, you’ll block it, spend it, or sabotage it.

I see this with clients all the time. They start earning more, and then suddenly they feel the urge to pivot, change everything, think it’s temporary, or blow all the money on stuff they don’t actually need.

Not because they’re irresponsible. But because their nervous system equates more money with more pressure, more judgment, and more risk.

You don’t just need a money mindset shift. You need a capacity upgrade.

And no, that’s not just a cute phrase. It’s the difference between calling in more and actually keeping it.

Because when your nervous system is used to just-getting-by energy, overflow doesn’t feel exciting. It feels threatening. You’ll subconsciously tighten up, shut down, or sabotage the very thing you’ve been asking for.

That’s why so many women call in big wins… and then instantly spiral. Not because they’re ungrateful. Because their system doesn’t yet feel safe with that level of success.

When you build real capacity, you’re not just manifesting more; you’re actually able to hold it, grow it, and move from overflow instead of lack. That’s what creates lasting wealth.

The ripple effect of one identity shift

When I began leading like the woman I wanted to become, everything changed. I started honoring my time. I created more space in my calendar. I stopped saying “yes” to things out of guilt. I attracted clients who didn’t blink at my rates. And more importantly, I stopped blinking at them myself.

And here’s the kicker: I was doing less.

I wasn’t in launch mode 24/7. I wasn’t grinding. I was leading. Embodying.

This is why I say alignment is the strategy.

When your internal world lines up with the reality you want to create, the external shifts naturally follow.

Opportunities feel easier. Decisions become clearer. You stop playing small or questioning every move. You stop begging the universe to come through and start acting like it already has.

Still think it’s about the hustle?

Let me call you out on this: if hustle were the answer, you’d already have what you want.

Working more hours is not the lifestyle you want.

That only leads to burnout, resentment, and capped income. Money doesn’t respond to stress, it responds to alignment. To have confidence. Money responds to calm, grounded action from a woman who knows who the hell she is.

Think about the times in your life when things flowed. When clients came out of nowhere. When you were in your power, and things just worked. That wasn’t an accident. That was alignment in action.

Your job is to learn how to access that state of alignment on purpose, not by force, but by becoming the version of you who already lives in that state.

What happens when you shift?

You create more white space. You start saying “NO” without guilt. You raise your rates without spiraling. You get your time back. You stop second-guessing yourself. You lead instead of hustling. You start scaling without the stress.

You become the kind of woman who doesn’t just manifest more.

Instead, you become the woman who holds it with confidence. You hold the cash, the visibility, the responsibility, and the ease. You don’t shrink when the money lands or spiral when the numbers grow. You show up fully when your Stripe is popping off and your team needs you, without feeling like it’s all too much. You don’t question if it’s a fluke. You don’t brace yourself for the crash. You hold it because you’ve trained yourself to. Because you became the version of YOU who can. Not by chance, but by identity.

That’s the shift. That’s what changed my business, my income, and my entire life.

So, are you ready to shift?

If your gut is saying yes… even if your mind is still a little freaked outtrust that.

You don’t need to “earn” rest. You don’t need to keep grinding. You don’t need more proof or another strategy.

You need to shift who you are being. That’s what makes the money show up differently.

So ask yourself: Who do I need to become to receive and hold the next level I keep asking for?

And then, start being her now.

You’ve got this.
